Father`s Day!!!  why is it special

A father's love contributes as much and sometimes more -- to a child's development as mush as a mother's love. That is one of many aspects that can shape our personalities as children and into adulthood.

Father's Day is considered as a day to acknowledge the contribution of fathers to individual families and to societies as large. Observance of Father's Day helps fathers feel that their contributions are acknowledged by their children. On this day, children express thanks to their fathers for all their unconditional love and affection.

We try to make each second count with our loved ones, for this reason today we used this very special occasion to teach our children not only to show how much they love and appreciate their dads ,but also we are going to teach them an attitude of gratitude .

Gratitude is one piece of the character trait of being caring and is more than the cursory “thank you'.

Thankfulness begins when we are able to recognize and point out small things that make us thankful.

Parents can model the behavior through words and actions :

"Dad works so hard. Why don’t we make a special card today to show him how much we appreciate him?”

“Isn’t it nice when Grandpa picks you up from school sometimes "

You teach children how to be grateful when you express your own gratitude openly and model thankfulness through your actions.
