Traveling With My Bundle Of Joy (in my case three of them 😅)

1. Make it a fun adventure.

Our story has a happy ending--two in fact. At the end of both flights, my older daughter exclaimed the exact same thing to me: "Mummy , that was so much fun!"

No, there are not many adults who feel the same way after half a day in row 38 just ahead of the aft lavatories. But my older Daughters 4 years old and 3 years old are appropriately amazed at the fact that we can cram 300 people into a pressurized metal tube and transport them to a completely different climate in a matter of hours.

So the advice here is to find your inner kid, and share their awe and excitement over the trip. If they sense that your overall attitude toward flying with them is that it's a big, fun adventure, they'll be more likely to emulate you. That just makes everything easier.

2. Dedicating the day

and thus both avoiding last-minute rushes and sticking close to a child's regular schedule are like gold for improving their comfort and attitude aboard. , especially if short haul or under 7 hours u can try to arrange your flight during their nape time or at night that would be just like magic they will sleep if not the whole flight at least half of it

3. Board last when flying with a toddler.

If flying long haul with a toddler or with young children, and it’s a day flight, consider boarding last with your tot and have your partner board a bit earlier with all the travel gear you have.

There is really no point in keeping a toddler restrained on a plane longer than necessary!

4 Bring yoyo stroller and Car seat aboard

I`ve seen other parents recommend against this: but oh yes, I say bring your yoyo stroller it will be so easy to go everywhere , Malak happily sat in it during a very long bag drop queue, and we whizzed through security. At some airports you don’t need to fold the buggy up to put through the X-ray machine, but even if I had to, the whole process takes seconds.

Parents have mixed views on using car seats on the plane. Some view bringing a car seat on board as a bit bulky and cumbersome, On the other hand, sometimes its only because its what makes your child most comfortable in his or her car seat especially if you are traveling a long haul.

5. Plan as if there will be no food

Don’t underestimate how much toddlers will snack on the flight! Bring what you think and double it! Raisins, bananas, apples, bread-sticks, mini sausages are all good. Frozen yoghurt pouches work well too and help keep everything cool. Avoid sugary sweets as all that pent-up energy will have nowhere to go. We do save a lolly for the descent though- just in case the change in pressure irritates their ears.

6. Plan as if there will be no in-flight entertainment

Bring your own toddler headphones for the plane, new coloring books , play dough ect unless you are travelling with an airline that has some good family friendlyamenities onboard

7. Be prepared on the the plane

Pack spare changes and extra clothes in ziplock bags in your hand luggage. This makes it SO much easier to grab if any accidents happen. If you are flying with a toddler and a baby, then having separate bags makes it easier to distinguish between

8. Plan as if there will be no nap

Life for new and new-ish parents revolves around their children's naps. And maybe there will be a nap; I hope your toddler is still napping.

But really, plan as if there won't be. Mostly that means that if you're the type of person who normally sleeps on planes yourself, those days have gone by for you. At least until your kid is a bit older.

Just keep in mind there's not much we can do to assuage that passenger who complains that moment your child sneezes or giggles. Here's what you need to remember:As long as you are trying (and what parent isn't?), you've got almost everyone on your side, An adult having an issue with a screaming child is acting like a child as well.

nothing stay the same they will grow up and we will miss those days with all it's good and not so good moments.
